- Congratulations to Rik Drummond and GWAC: Congratulations GridWise Architecture Council members past and present for being recognized for outstanding leadership in the advancement of a smart grid in the field of advocacy. The award was accepted by Rik Drummond on behalf of the Council during a recognition dinner held on April 23, 2007 at GridWeek in Washington, DC. Rik Drummond played an important role in chairing the group through its formable years; however, the award recognizes the good work of each and every council member in advocating a smart grid through the GridWise interoperability principles and their outreach. Also of note, the affiliated organizations of two council members (Stephanie Hamilton - SCE and Erich Gunther - EnerNex) also received awards in recognition of their Smart Grid implementation and deployment successes.
