Joseph M. Bucciero

Mr. Joseph Bucciero is a Senior Vice President of KEMA, Inc. and is the Business Manager for KEMA's cyber security services. He has more than 35 years of experience in applying management, business, and technical know-how to assist his clients in the electric utility industry. His expertise includes procurement and management of small- to large-scale realtime EMS/SCADA projects, and he is proactive in working with utilities to help position them in the new competitive marketplace. Mr. Bucciero has an extensive background with analysis of utility operational requirements; evaluation of functional and data needs; assessment of existing EMS/SCADA system capabilities; and planning of potential life extension or replacement opportunities. He is skilled in project management, contract negotiations, managing client and vendor relations, and providing engineering and computer system services that support his clients' corporate objectives. Mr. Bucciero is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member and previous manager of the EPRI Control Center Application Interface (CCAPI) initiative, a developer and leader of the EPRI CCAPI seminars, and a frequent keynote speaker at various industry meetings. He has served as project manager for many KEMA, Inc. client projects including most recently the EMS/SCADA System Replacement Justifications for Southern Company, PacifiCorp, and Commonwealth Edison of Chicago. He has also managed EMS/SCADA projects for the National Grid Company of England, the Power Pool of Alberta, ConEdison Company of New York, the Joint Utility EMS Procurement project, TransAlta Utilities Corporation, and Conectiv (formerly Atlantic Electric and Delmarva Power & Light). He is a graduate of Villanova University and a member of Who's Who Worldwide.
